Their products and solutions are cutting edge technologies used in key navigation systems internationally.

They are now seeking GIS Team Leader to join their office in Medan, Indonesia. The GIS Supervisor/ Team Leader oversees the day-to-day activities of a technical team of GIS analysts to ensure that the tasks and processes necessary to complete their projects are being performed within the prescribed timeframe. You will be hands-on invovled in staff supervision/coaching as well as overseeing geospatial/ GIS projects till their completion.

Responsibilities:

* Implements work plan and assigns tasks to GIS team.
* Oversees key GIS projects from planning till implementation
* Manages and tracks activities of project team to ensure GIS/geospatial project deliverables are progressing on schedule.
* Provide technical advice and to resolve problems as needed.
* Approves weekly time reports for the team.
* Makes recommendations regarding workflow processes and improvements.
* Prepares and conducts training, performance appraisals and performance reviews of team members.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in geography, business administration, cartography, environmental sciences or urban planning preferred. Knowledge of ArcGIS software is a plus.
* 4-5 years GIS/ geospatial/ urban planning experience with 1-2 years of project management and team leading experience
* Experience working across international projects or in a multi-national environment
* Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia written and verbal skills highly perferable
* Able to work indepedently and within a team environment
* Ability to travel within Indonesia and internationally
* Valid driver's license with good driving record required.





Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Geographical Science, Geology/Geophysics, Social Science/Sociology, Urban Studies/Town Planning or equivalent.
* Required language(s): English, Bahasa Indonesia
* At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Geology/Geophysics or equivalent.
