Sampai 2012, BRI membuka 4.000 lowongan baru. Demikian disampaikan oleh Direktur Utama Bank BRI Sofyan Basir ketika ditemui di Gedung BRI, Jalan Sudirman, Jumat (30/07/2010). "Kami siap menerima karyawan baru yang ingin bekerja sebagai calon-calon bankir handal. Target kita menerima 4.000 karyawan hingga 2012," tutur Sofyan. Hal tersebut, lanjut Sofyan dilakukan BRI untuk membantu memperluas jaringan pelayanan melalui pembukaan kantor dan unit baru di berbagai daerah.
